- The total amount of waste generated during the scheme period will be 273540 m3, which will be backfilled in the exhausted part of Raikela Quarry.
- From mining activity top soil and sub-grade ore will also be generated. Sub grade ore and top soil will be stored separately for future use.
- Waste will be levelled and compacted to reduce the erosion due to rain and wind. Garland drains will be constructed around the quarry and dump.
- Reclaimed quarry and dump yards are to be planted with local tree species. Waste dump plantation at a rate of at least 2500 trees per hectare, shall be a continual process with mining every year. By the closing period the total area would have been with thick tree growth.
