A detailed survey has been carried out to assess the floral and faunal species present in the study area. The flora and fauna studies were conducted at different sites representing an entire study area of 10 km radius around the project site. The study shows the Presence of schedule I fauna like Elephas maximus (Hati) in the buffer zone. A site specific wildlife conservation plan has been prepared and it has already received approved from the PCCF, Chief Wildlife Warden, Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
